  • Privacy contact: info@myaccountingwiz.com, attention: the Principal. No Data Protection Officer is appointed.

For personal data collected through this website, we are the controller: we decide why and how that data is used.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit www.myaccountingwiz.com, or contact us through the website, WhatsApp, phone or email about our services.

It does not cover the financial, accounting, tax and business records we process for clients while carrying out an engagement. That information is governed by the engagement letter and standard terms of business agreed with each client, which include confidentiality obligations.

This policy is written with reference to the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR applies to visitors from those regions, we also aim to meet its requirements.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Website contact / consultation form (Wix Forms): your name, company, email, phone number, business activity, the service you are interested in, VAT registration status, approximate annual turnover, and your message.

  • WhatsApp (buttons on our pages, or the quick-contact bar on mobile): your WhatsApp number, your profile name and what you send us, including any pre-filled message you choose to send.

  • Phone: your number and what you tell us during the call.

  • Email: your email address, your message and any attachments.

Please do not send bank details, passport or Emirates ID copies, or detailed financial records through the website form or in a first message. If we work together, we will agree a secure way to exchange documents.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our providers may collect technical and usage information. This can include your browser and device type, the pages you view, how you reached the site (for example a search engine or an ad), and your approximate location (country or city level). Essential cookies collect this to run the site. Analytics and marketing tools collect it only if you consent (see sections 5 to 8).

We do not send your name, email address, phone number or message contents to Google Analytics or Google Ads.

4. How we use your information and our legal bases

  • Replying to your enquiry and preparing a proposal: steps you have asked us to take before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); under the PDPL, processing necessary for a contract or for steps you request before one, or your consent given by contacting us.

  • Running, securing and fixing the website (essential cookies): necessary to provide the website you have asked to use, and our legitimate interests in a secure, working site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

  • Understanding how the website is used (analytics): your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

  • Measuring whether our Google ads lead to enquiries: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

  • Following up on an enquiry we have not heard back on: part of responding to the request you made when you contacted us, and our legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can ask us to stop at any time.

  • Meeting legal obligations and responding to lawful requests from authorities: legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell personal data. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage and URL parameters, work in a comparable way. Our cookie banner groups them into four categories:

  • Essential (Wix, our website platform; Usercentrics, our consent banner): deliver and secure the site, keep it stable, and remember your cookie choice. Examples: Wix security and session cookies (such as XSRF-TOKEN, svSession, bSession) and the Usercentrics consent record. These are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them.

  • Functional (Wix): remember settings that improve how the site works for you. We do not currently set functional cookies beyond those listed as essential; the category appears in the banner for completeness. Used only if you accept functional cookies.

  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4, provided by Google; Wix's built-in site statistics): understand which pages are visited, how visitors find us, and whether the site works well. Examples: _ga and _ga_HBHRZ50XY7 (Google, up to 2 years by default). Used only if you accept analytics cookies.

  • Marketing (Google Ads, provided by Google; planned, for conversion measurement only): measure whether a click on one of our Google ads led to an enquiry. Examples: _gcl_au and related Google Ads conversion cookies, and the gclid click identifier added to the link when you click our ad. Used only if you accept marketing cookies.

The current list of cookies, with names, providers and durations, is available in our cookie settings, which you can open at any time from the privacy-settings button at the bottom-left of every page. Cookie names and durations set by third parties can change without notice.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (property "My Accounting Wiz – Website", measurement ID G-HBHRZ50XY7), provided by Google, to understand how visitors use our website. As currently configured:

  • it loads only after you accept analytics cookies;

  • it records page views, scrolling, clicks on links that leave our site (including our WhatsApp links), and the fact that an enquiry form was submitted. It does not record what you type into the form;

  • Google Signals and ads personalisation are turned off;

  • event-level data is kept for 14 months and then deleted from detailed reports.

Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google may use your IP address briefly to estimate your general location. Google processes this data under its own terms; see "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Google Ads conversion measurement

We plan to use Google Ads to advertise our services. We will use it only to measure results, that is, to see whether someone who clicked one of our ads later sent us an enquiry. To do this:

  • Google Ads adds a click identifier (gclid) to the web address when you click our ad;

  • if you accept marketing cookies, Google may store that identifier in a cookie and match it with an enquiry event, such as a form submission. Google does this through our linked Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts;

  • we see only total figures, such as "five enquiries came from this campaign". We do not see who you are.

We do not use remarketing, audience lists, customer-list matching or personalised advertising. We will update this policy, and ask for your consent where required, before we use any such feature.

8. Consent and changing your preferences

  • On your first visit, all visitors see a cookie banner, provided by Usercentrics. You can accept all, deny all non-essential cookies, or save your own settings by category. Denying is as easy as accepting.

  • Our site uses Google Consent Mode in its basic form: Google Analytics and Google Ads tags do not load, and send nothing to Google, until you give consent.

  • You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the privacy-settings button at the bottom-left of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not work.

9. Sharing and service providers

We share personal data only with providers that help us run our website and business, and only as far as they need it:

  • Wix.com Ltd. and affiliates: website hosting, contact forms and form storage, contact records, essential cookies, site statistics.

  • Google (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.): business email (Google Workspace); Google Analytics and, when live, Google Ads conversion measurement, with your consent.

  • Usercentrics GmbH: cookie consent banner and records of your consent.

  • WhatsApp / Meta: messaging, if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp (see section 15).

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or at the lawful request of a court or UAE authority (for example, the Federal Tax Authority), or to protect our legal rights.

10. International transfers

We are based in the UAE. Some of our providers store or process data outside the UAE: Wix (data centres in the USA, Israel and the EU); Google (USA and other countries); Usercentrics (Germany/EU); Meta/WhatsApp (various countries).

Where data is transferred, we rely on the transfer conditions available under the PDPL and, for EU/UK visitors, on the safeguards available under the GDPR, such as the providers' data processing terms and standard contractual clauses where applicable.

11. Retention

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement (form submissions, contact records, emails, WhatsApp messages): kept for 24 months after our last contact with you and deleted in our next quarterly review, unless we need to keep them for a legal claim or request.

  • Google Analytics event data: 14 months.

  • Consent records (Usercentrics): kept to evidence your choice, for the period set by Usercentrics (its documentation currently states one year).

  • Client records after an engagement starts: kept under the engagement terms and the record-keeping periods required by UAE accounting and tax law (outside the scope of this policy).

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. These include restricted access to our website, form and email accounts, and the security provided by our hosting and software providers. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your rights

Under the UAE PDPL, subject to the conditions and exceptions in the law and its implementing regulations, you may have the right to: obtain information about, and access to, your personal data; correct or complete your data; have it erased; restrict or stop its processing; receive it in a structured format, or have it transferred; object to decisions based solely on automated processing; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (including to processing based on legitimate interests), and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

How to exercise your rights: email info@myaccountingwiz.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. We will respond within 30 days. To manage cookies, use the cookie settings described in section 8.

14. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

15. Third-party links and services

Our site links to services we do not control, including WhatsApp (wa.me and api.whatsapp.com links) and our Facebook page. When you use them, their own privacy policies and terms apply. For example, if you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp/Meta processes your number, profile and message data under WhatsApp's Privacy Policy. We receive only what you send us. We are not responsible for how those services handle your data.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, tools or legal requirements change. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, for example adding a new advertising feature, we will highlight it on the website, and where required ask for your consent again through the cookie banner.
