UAE E-Invoicing Setup & Integration Services
UAE e-invoicing changes how invoices are issued, exchanged and reported. Compliant e-invoices are structured electronic data exchanged through an Accredited Service Provider, not PDFs sent by email. Getting ready is an accounting project as much as a software one: your customer records, VAT treatment, invoice fields and credit-note workflow all need to be right before anything is connected.
We do the accounting side. We review your QuickBooks Online or Xero set-up, correct the data that e-invoices depend on, help you choose and onboard with an ASP, and coordinate the agreed accounting-side integration requirements, testing and review of discrepancies with the selected provider. The ASP supplies the technical transmission service; we make sure your accounting system is ready for it.
E-invoicing readiness assessment
A structured review of your accounting software, invoice formats, VAT codes, customer and supplier master data and transaction workflows, with a written list of what must change before implementation.
QuickBooks Online setup and integration coordination
Configuration review, data preparation and coordination of accounting-side requirements with the ASP or integration provider you select.
Xero e-invoicing setup
Accounting-side preparation and configuration for Xero’s published UAE e-invoicing route.
Accounting and VAT data readiness
Clean-up of the records that e-invoices are built from.
Accredited Service Provider onboarding support
Help understanding the accounting and operational requirements of selecting and onboarding with an ASP.
Testing, handover and ongoing accounting support
Workflow testing, discrepancy review, documentation for your team, and continued bookkeeping, VAT and accounting support.
Who Needs E-Invoicing Support?
-
Existing QuickBooks Online users who need their configuration and data reviewed and a suitable integration route identified.
-
Existing Xero users who want help preparing records and completing Xero’s UAE onboarding steps.
-
Businesses setting up accounting software now who want invoicing and bookkeeping built correctly from the start.
-
SMEs with manual or fragmented invoicing (Word or Excel invoices, multiple templates, invoices raised outside the accounting system).
-
Growing businesses with several sales channels or entities whose invoicing data needs consolidating before implementation.
-
Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more preparing for mandatory implementation on 1 January 2027, including those needing urgent assistance with ASP onboarding or accounting-system readiness.
QuickBooks Online E-Invoicing Integration
Already using QuickBooks Online? You may be able to retain your existing accounting software while preparing for UAE e-invoicing. A possible route is through a compatible connector or integration supported by an Accredited Service Provider. However, the availability, functionality and compatibility of any solution must be confirmed with Intuit and the selected provider before implementation. We assist with reviewing your QuickBooks configuration, preparing accounting data and coordinating agreed accounting-side integration requirements.
What we do for QuickBooks Online clients:
-
Review company settings, invoice templates, custom fields, product and service items, and tax codes.
-
Standardise customer and supplier records (legal name, TRN, address, contact) so they map cleanly to e-invoice fields.
-
Prepare the accounting data the ASP will need and coordinate the accounting-side requirements of the integration.
-
Support agreed accounting-side testing of invoice, credit-note and VAT scenarios after connection and reconcile results in QuickBooks.
Xero E-Invoicing Setup
Xero has published a UAE e-invoicing route: you set up in Xero’s e-invoicing platform, Invoici, using your existing Xero login, connect the organisation you want to register, then select Casim, a UAE Accredited Service Provider, in EmaraTax. Xero states this is available at no extra cost on its Starter, Standard and Premium plans. Invoici is Xero’s platform, not an ASP; Casim L.L.C-FZ appears on the Ministry of Finance’s accredited list. Xero’s no-additional-cost statement relates to its published e-invoicing arrangement for eligible software plans. My Accounting Wiz’s professional setup, accounting and advisory services are separately scoped and quoted.
What we do for Xero clients:
-
Check organisation details, TRN, contact records, branding themes and invoice settings.
-
Review tax rates and VAT treatment on sales and credit notes.
-
Help you work through the Invoici and EmaraTax onboarding steps and confirm the organisation is correctly linked.
-
Support agreed accounting-side testing of sending and receiving, review exceptions and document the workflow for your team.
Software functionality, subscriptions, connectors and provider arrangements are subject to the relevant vendors’ current terms and technical availability.

Accounting and VAT Data Readiness
An e-invoice is only as good as the data behind it. Before implementation we review and, where agreed, correct:
Customer and supplier master records, including legal names and TRNs
VAT registration details and VAT codes applied to sales, purchases and adjustments
Invoice and credit-note numbering, dates, descriptions and mandatory fields
Transaction classifications (standard-rated, zero-rated, exempt, out of scope, reverse charge)
Supporting records and reconciliations
Exception-handling and correction procedures for rejected or amended invoices
QuickBooks Online vs Xero: what preparation differs
E-invoicing route. QuickBooks Online: through an ASP’s integration or connector (to be confirmed with the ASP). Xero: Xero’s published route via Invoici and Casim.
Set-up focus. QuickBooks Online: company settings, custom fields, items, tax codes, customer/supplier records. Xero: organisation details, contacts, tax rates, invoice settings, Invoici/EmaraTax steps.
Testing (accounting-side support). QuickBooks Online: agreed scenarios tested through the ASP connection and reconciled in QuickBooks. Xero: agreed scenarios tested through Xero after onboarding.
Common clean-up. QuickBooks Online: duplicate customers, missing TRNs, inconsistent items and tax codes. Xero: missing TRNs, inconsistent tax rates, invoice template fields.
Accredited Service Provider Onboarding
The UAE framework requires in-scope businesses to exchange e-invoices through an Accredited Service Provider approved by the Ministry of Finance. The ASP validates, transmits and reports invoices; it does not keep your books. We help you understand the accounting and operational requirements of selecting and onboarding with an ASP, including compatibility with your accounting software, the data it will need and how corrections will be handled. The provider’s accreditation, technical capabilities, fees and contractual responsibilities must be verified before appointment. My Accounting Wiz is not an Accredited Service Provider.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use QuickBooks Online for UAE e-invoicing?
Potentially, yes. You may be able to retain QuickBooks Online while preparing for UAE e-invoicing, with a possible route through a compatible connector or integration supported by an Accredited Service Provider. The availability, functionality and compatibility of any solution must be confirmed with Intuit and the selected provider before implementation. We review your QuickBooks configuration, prepare the accounting data and coordinate the agreed accounting-side requirements.
Does Xero support UAE e-invoicing?
Yes. Xero’s published UAE route uses its Invoici platform with Casim as the Accredited Service Provider, selected in EmaraTax, at no extra cost on Starter, Standard and Premium plans. We help with the accounting-side setup and the onboarding steps.
Do I need to replace my accounting software?
Not necessarily. We first assess your current system, the available integration options and your business requirements before discussing whether a change is appropriate.
What does an Accredited Service Provider do?
An ASP is a Ministry of Finance-accredited provider that validates, exchanges and reports e-invoices on your behalf through the UAE e-invoicing system. It transmits the data; it does not prepare your accounts.
Can My Accounting Wiz help connect my existing accounting system?
Yes. We provide readiness assessments, QuickBooks Online and Xero configuration, data preparation and integration coordination. The technical transmission of e-invoices is handled by the selected ASP.
What information should be reviewed before implementation?
Customer and supplier legal names and TRNs, your own VAT registration details, VAT codes and transaction classifications, invoice and credit-note fields and numbering, product and service items, and the reconciliation and correction process.
What is the difference between a PDF invoice and a compliant e-invoice?
A PDF is a picture of an invoice. A compliant e-invoice is structured electronic data in the prescribed format, exchanged and reported through an Accredited Service Provider. Emailing a PDF does not, by itself, meet the UAE e-invoicing requirements.
What are the implementation deadlines?
Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more had to appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026 and must implement by 1 January 2027. Other in-scope businesses must appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027 and implement by 1 July 2027. Government entities: ASP by 31 March 2027, implementation by 1 October 2027.
Does e-invoicing replace VAT returns?
No. E-invoicing and VAT return preparation are different obligations; VAT reporting and record-keeping requirements continue.
Can you help if my records are not up to date?
Yes. We assess the records and agree a bookkeeping clean-up scope before any e-invoicing configuration work.
Is My Accounting Wiz an Accredited Service Provider?
No. My Accounting Wiz provides accounting-system setup, e-invoicing readiness assessments, VAT-data preparation and integration coordination. The technical exchange and reporting of e-invoices are handled by the selected Accredited Service Provider.
How much does UAE e-invoicing setup cost?
The cost depends on your current accounting software, the condition of your records, transaction volume, selected provider and the work required. We review your requirements and agree the professional service scope and fees before implementation. Software subscriptions and third-party provider charges, where applicable, are separate.
